DBW Alternator Conversion Kit for 1960-79 Beetle Ghia 12 Volt 60 Amp
Our DBW-8260 basic alternator conversion kit includes the basics necessary to convert your 1960-79 Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Thing, Type 3, or Bus with Type 1 engine to a 12 volt setup with our simple 2-wire internally regulated AL82 alternator. Includes 60 amp alternator, backing plate kit, alternator/generator stand, alternator/generator strap. You can re-use your fan and pulley with this Alternator. Must use 10 shims in the pulley stack.
