DBW Alternator Conversion Kit for VW Type 1 Beetle - Deluxe 12v 60 Amp - 8261
Our DBW-8261 deluxe alternator conversion kit includes the necessary components to convert your 1960-79 Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Thing, Type 3, or Bus with Type 1 engine to a 12 volt setup with our simple 2-wire internally regulated AL82 alternator. Includes 60 amp alternator, backing plate kit, alternator/generator stand, alternator/generator strap, alternator pulley, and Continental 10x912mm alternator belt. You can re-use your fan with this Alternator. Must use 10 shims in the pulley stack.

**Tech Tip: Simple 2-wire installation - the main post wires straight to the POS+ starter and battery. The smaller terminal wires to the charging/alternator light on the dash, then to a keyed-on POS+ source. You must run a non-LED charging/alternator light for these alternators to charge.
